Because you have been following along with us on this blog, you know that September & October are two of our busiest months of the year. We cater many amazing events and I am so proud of my team. But today I want to talk to you about one event in particular...
SPLIT ROCK JUMPING TOUR
We were so excited for the opportunity to cater this event and to develop a relationship with Split Rock. They have hosted this event in Lexington, Kentucky and when we discovered they were coming to our home, Columbus, Ohio, we jumped at the chance to be involved. This is a high profile sporting event and the owners have an exceptional knowledge of what sets their tour apart from the rest. The experience is all-inclusive with incredible food, entertainment, comfort and service. Plus, the venue is fabulous. When my event managers and I first toured Brave Horse Farms, we were wowed. This Equestrian facility features 7 arenas on a 75 acre farm.
Sounds like a beautiful place to spend two weeks, right?
Our job was to cater the Hospitality tent from September 27 through October 8. The 6,000 square foot tent sat between the two main arenas where spectators could view the jumpers all day, every day. It was gorgeous! We were about to welcome sponsors and competitors from all over the world and we know that meant a wide range of expectations to exceed.
Together with the Split Rock team, we thoughtfully planned every detail. Our culinary experts created the perfect menu and Chef strategically built a kitchen on-site which would be our home for the next 2 weeks. Our staffing coordinator and service staff executed the event with incredible service. Operations thought through every piece of equipment we would need. From menu to florals, to kitchen logistics and timing, we didn’t leave a single question unanswered.
