Party 10/20 | Dog Days of Summer
By: Axel & Zuke, Gus, Kobe, Templeton, Gigi
We love what we do and we have fun doing it. But sometimes, we need to surround ourselves with a little extra love and happiness.
Cue the TC Barking Buddies.
Canine friends have become a big part of our culture here at Two Caterers, interwoven into our stories over the last two decades in business. When a TC crew member gets a new pup, they bring them to the office to meet the team. When a client is trying to find a new home for their loving Yorkie, we look internally to find her a family. When our General Manager needs the perfect gift, we drive to Toledo and pick up Gus.
Because these members of our family are so important, one of our 20 anniversary events just had to be a party for the pups. Read on as our furry friends tell you all about it...
Axel & Zuke
Bri is our human
Hi Humans! My name is Axel and I am 3 year old Bernese Mountain Dog! Don’t let that fool you, I act like a lap dog. Anyone up for a cuddle? I love sweet potatoes, long walks, and the occasional game of fetch (which is really just me running around barking because I don’t know how to play.) My favorite spot in the house is laying on the couch watching TV with mom and dad. I always hop up there when I am getting annoyed with my hyper younger brother...
Hi! I’m Zuke! I’m Axel’s 8 month old “little” Berner brother, even though I have already outgrown him. I love to snack on pretty much anything that is edible, or inedible, for that matter. Carrots and socks are a favorite. I LOVE BONES! I could chew on bones all day. When I’m not eating, I love to wrestle with my brother and snuggle with mom before bed. When I was a puppy, my mom took me to work with her so I could meet all of her TC family. Those ladies REALLY like to snuggle!
We were so excited when our mom came home from work and told us about Dog Days! Going to the dog park is always awesome, especially when we get the TC Bark Buddies together. We got to see our best friend Kobe, our old buddies Brody and Bitty Kerns, and even met some new friends, like Gus, and that really cute Yorkshire Terrier, Gigi. (Gigi’s Mom, if you’re is reading this, have her call Axel…) We got to run around and play fetch(ish) and kicked back with some nice cold water. We had a ball! Wait, did someone say BALL?!? Gotta run!
Jay is my human who protects me :)
I’m Gus! I was a Christmas gift to my Dad from the Team at Two Caterers. I’m a rescue dog, a mix of chocolate lab and something else – no one quite knows but they love to guess – retriever, border collie, who knows! They tell me I’m about ten months old, so I’m technically a pup, but I think I'm way older. And I guess I can be pretty shy - I’m not a fan of loud noises or strange men - but I love to play fetch with tennis balls! Dad says I'm addicted and I can’t stop. But when all those strangers showed up at Dog Day I had to take a break because I was pretty nervous to make new friends. My human sisters, Olivia and Hadley, came too so I played with them until I warmed up to the new people. I made some new friends... like Templeton. He's small like me and doesn't always like to play with the other dogs either so that was nice - but he can be kinda hard to understand with that lisp... All in all, the doggy day thing was pretty cool and I'd love to do it again!
Erin is the human who throws the ball!
Guys! What’s Up! My name is Kobe... My mom told you about me a few weeks ago when she went on a golf cart WITHOUT ME. Rude. But she took me to the Two Caterers Dog Day and it was SO fun. I got to see my friends Gus and Axel and Axel's little brother... what's his name again? Anyway, my mom was so busy talking to her friends from work that she forgot to keep throwing the ball for me (I mean sometimes it took her over 3 seconds to pick it up, can you believe that?) but it’s okay because Gus brought his sisters to the park and they threw the ball a lot. They just kept throwing and throwing and throwing. I think they had so much fun! It was WAIT IT’S A BALL SOMEONE COME GET IT I CAN’T REACH IT IT’S UNDER THE COUCH HURRY SOMEONE GIVE ME THAT BALL RIGHT NOW I NEED IT THE BALL IT’S RIGHT HERE YOU GUYS COME ON HURRY I WANT IT SO BAD GO GET IT

Bonjour, je m'appelle, Gigi Marie. Yes, sometimes I like to speak French! I have been recognized as the Manager of Office Morale here at Two Caterers, where I have been part of the family for 6 years. When I go to work with my mom, my job responsibilities include looking adorable, greeting everyone that walks in the door (by not barking), and whining intently at the door to make sure everyone knows I am here and I am not being ignored. My hobbies include play & spa days at Puptown Lounge, taking walks to Fancyburg park, and visiting my grandma!
I really loved TC dog day at the park. However, if I must be honest, I enjoy hanging out with humans more than I do the other dogs. I am also not a huge fan of the hot weather, or the dirt, and I would rather just relax in the sun. I am not really into running and chasing things... I left that up to Kobe. He did enough chasing for everyone.
Don’t get me wrong I am not anti-social, I just know what I like. However, I didn’t mind gazing at some of the older fellas that came. It is not often I get to flirt and having boys working for my attention was pretty nice. I had my eyes on Axel and Zuke, they are brothers, so I enjoyed getting them involved in a little brotherly competition. All in all it was a wonderful day at the park, I might not go back every week, but once in a while I will make the effort.
